Looking for a panel physician near North York? GTA Immigration Medical Clinic Markham is a designated clinic approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to conduct immigration medical exams — and the only IRCC panel physician clinic located in Markham. From most of North York we're a 20 to 30 minute drive, and from the Fairview and Don Mills area it's about 15 minutes straight up Highway 404. Your exam, blood work, and urine testing are completed in a single visit, with results submitted electronically to IRCC.
What Is an Immigration Medical Exam?
An immigration medical exam (IME) is a health assessment required by IRCC for many permanent residence, work permit, study permit, super visa, and refugee applications. It must be performed by a designated panel physician — your own family doctor cannot complete it. The exam includes a review of your medical history, a physical examination, and laboratory testing, and the results are sent directly to IRCC through the eMedical system.
